We are thrilled to introduce our 2025 granted artists. This year, thanks to the the incredible work of our Art Curator, Rebekah Waites, we are excited to welcome the following art installations to Something Queer.

Big Shade
Artist: BEARPAD
A 24 foot tall inflatable figure in the BEARPAD style that also functions as a shade structure will be illuminated with lighting or projections

Breathe
Artist: Shae Inglin
The installation includes three panels attached to the ground hidden in the forest. The panels reflect during the day and provide a special message all while a heart beats.

Gathering Light
Artist: John Marble
“Gathering Light” is an interactive psychedelic art installation centered around and communal table where swirling patterns of light shift and flow beneath the surface of the tabletop. Designed to foster connection and conversation as attendees gaze into the table and talk among themselves.

Max Loads
Artists: Chris Rico & Rene Santana
What is Max Loads? A digital portal? A washing machine? Yet another DJ playing repetitive sounds? Max is all of these and none.

Through the Looking Glass
Artist: EZRA
Through the Looking Glass is walk-through installation with a contrast of black and white on the outside/ translucent and filled with color and a variety of textures inside as you walk through. The interactive exhibit is made with many 3D add-ons.

Veraison
Artist: Justin Sawyer
A giant cluster of grapes that is made of recycled wine barrels. Each grape is individually lit and dances in patterns with its neighbors. 11 of the grapes are painted in the colors of our pride flag to represent the inclusion of our community in the giant cluster of life. This is Veraison’s 2nd year at Something Queer.
