As we celebrate our 5th year together, we know how much Something Queer has been a space to celebrate ourselves, build community, and embody growth. Through the power of queer love, we’ve created magic, memories, and countless connections. Queer joy, beauty, and visibility are forms of resistance. This year, we are experiencing a GLOW UP with a new space and a reminder of the importance of queer visibility. Together, we get to step into our most authentic selves, witness one another, and experience joy. Our glow up is more than just rainbows and glitter (although, those are awesome too). It’s about shedding expectations, embracing your inner power, and radiating the confidence that comes from living your truth. Because, we are beautiful and we are to be celebrated.

Our new forest home is calling us to dance, prance, frolic, and reconnect with each other and ourselves. So, slip on those heels and dust off the sequins as we get to GLOW UP together.

About our Community Gathering

Something Queer is a queer community gathering in Northern California held at Deloro Valley Events and Experiences Center in the Sierra Nevada foothills, just a few hours east of San Francisco. The event is hosted by a nonprofit led by a diverse volunteer Board of Directors who are deeply rooted in the Bay Area queer community. Expect three sparkling days of peace, companionship, queer love, body positivity, education, art, movement, healing, and music. We are a haven that welcomes beings of all genders, ages, races, sexual orientations, expressions, socioeconomic statuses, abilities, sex, or body types.

Queer Community

We are a purposefully inclusive event centered on queer experiences. All are welcome! One of our intentions is to build stronger queer community through this event and we hope you will get a chance to join us in that.

Art

What would a weekend in the woods be without some incredible queer art? Our team will be curating art leading up to the event. We also have opportunities for artists to apply for grants to create their art and showcase it at the event. Have some art you would like to share with the world? Bring it!

Glamping

Is it camping or glamping? You decide. We've got tons of space for tents. Don't want to tent it? That's fine...bring your RV, grab a bed in the hotel-style lodge, reserve a cabin, or even a glamping tent. Your base ticket includes a camping ticket for the entire weekend on our gorgeous 132 acres of land. Yes, there are showers (luxury!) and a ton of space.

Music

We love a good party! During the weekend, you can expect a number of curated musical experiences from our selection of incredible queer DJs. You'll be shaking your booty to house, disco, breakbeats, progressive, trance, and a variety of other hot beats.

Participant Experiences

Bring your most amazing idea to share with your queer fam! Our gathering will include a variety of co-created workshops, events, and activities. The organizers are setting a container for you to fill with the best things to share with our community. Always wanted to host a workshop, but never have? Don't worry...we are here to support you!

Food

Hungry? You won't be! Your ticket includes two amazing meals per day (brunch and dinner). Our kitchen team will be making some magic through their alchemy of ingredients to satisfy vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike.

Tickets

We are doing all we can to keep ticket costs low. We have multiple tiers of tickets, with our lowest "subsidized" tickets at a reduced cost. Our standard ticket price is $350 and we offer higher categories for those who have the resources to support others. We also offer free and reduced-price tickets for our community members who can't afford the full price.

Your ticket gets you full access to the site for camping, the amazing meal plan, and all the incredible experiences. We do offer tickets on a sliding scale (with $250 being our lowest cost)
