Guess what?? The Something Queer Gathering is getting a massive Glow Up for our 5th year and we are so excited to share the details with you. We have loved our home at Saratoga Springs in all its cute and campy sparkle. We’ve also been growing and have heard your feedback about space, sound, and accommodations. So, our gathering space is undergoing a glamorous transformation. We’re moving to a new, even more fabulous location. Who doesn’t love a Glow Up, right??  Get ready for the 5th annual Something Queer Gathering at Deloro Valley, CA. |
| The Deloro Valley Events and Experiences Space is a 132-acre event center in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s about the same drive time from SF, but a closer drive from the South Bay, Sacramento, Reno, Los Angeles, and Vegas. And…yes…we will have a fabulous shuttle to transport you from the Bay. Here’s the highlights of our new space: – Room for a LOT more people in beds (Over triple the bed space) – So many more new cabins (with AC!), glamping tents, and really cute lodge rooms that feel like a hotel – Two sparkling pools with amazing decks – Two indoor dance spaces in the main gathering area, both with professionally tuned void sound systems and lighting (that means we can go all night inside and, for those who want to sleep…you can!) – A beautiful amphitheater overlooking the valley (get your variety show acts ready!) – A nicely stocked workout room – A massive commercial kitchen that’s going to let Chef Jes and the kitchen team continue to make their magic – Fire pits, gazebos, and new spaces to explore and connect with each other – Hiking trails for those who want to connect with nature – Tons more room for activities, arts & crafts, yoga, etc. – A total space where we can continue to grow, love, and shine – And a few more cute surprises… We know that change is part of growth and all of us at Something Queer are excited for this opportunity to grow while still focusing on our core principles – especially those that allow us to connect with one another. And don’t worry, it may look bougie, but tickets will be about the same cost as previous years. As a non-profit, we are keeping our commitments to affordability and inclusion by increasing the number of subsidized tickets, ensuring that free tickets will go to resilient identities through our ticket grant program, and sponsoring more queer artists. Our magical weekend at our new forest home is just a few months away (May 8 – 12, 2025) and here’s the timeline: – Our website launches on Monday December 23rd with info on the venue – We will have information about ticket prices and accommodations on the website shortly after the 1st of the year (with photos, descriptions, etc.) – Tickets go on sale starting January 16, 2025 Happy New Year to our chosen Family!
