Hey there,

In just a few days, we will arrive at the gorgeous Deloro Valley to celebrate queer community. We are excited to share with you the incredible offerings that you are bringing to Something Queer.

Activities and Programming

You might know that the Something Queer team creates a container for all your creativity, energy, and queerness. Check out the daily offerings that your fellow campers have put together! We have a few things to ask:

  • Treasure Hunt Clothing Swap: Bring your gently-used festival and party looks, that you are ready to pass on, to participate in this community closet adventure. Treasure Hunt Clothing Swap (THCS) is a high-energy festival fashion swap that lets SQ attendees express themselves through playful, “free” fashion while building community, exploring self-expression, and supporting sustainability. A gemstone-themed point system rewards items based on their quality and uniqueness to keep swaps fair. All incoming and outgoing clothing is tracked so swap credit carries over to all participating music festivals. The experience is led by “Captain Jack”, a Queer pirate who will make sure you serve looks or walk the plank.
  • Music, Drum, Dance Circle: Bring a drum, shaker, tambourine, and any percussion plus circle-dancing props like twirling scarves and batons to the event to participate.

A few reminders:

  • Don’t forget to download your ticket QR code (don’t have one?, you need to sign the waiver first).
  • Bring a cup and/or mug with you.
  • Bring a snack to add to the snack table.
  • Bring a towel for the pool.
  • We will have water and coffee available, so bring any other beverages you’d like.
  • Our host (Deloro Valley) has built a 20 person wood-heated sauna that we will fire up Saturday and Sunday night. They have asked that folks wear a bathing suit in the Sauna.
  • Check out the travel guide for more information (schedule and map included)
  • Please remember, gates open at noon on Friday (no early entry allowed) and registration ends promptly at 10pm on Friday. We close the gate at 10pm. The gate will reopen at 9am on Saturday.
