Critters? That’s right…nature!
We are so grateful to be enjoying a gorgeous space. That said, there are a few critters that we want to tell you about:
- Mosquitoes – it’s the foothills of the Sierras and there are mosquitoes. Bring your favorite bug spray. We have been told that these coils work great.
- Look, we love bears…but, not when they try to get into our tents (without our consent). The venue has had bear sightings (usually not in the camp area). We ask that you please do not store food in your tents (feel free to leave those in the lodge spaces).
What’s the Schedule Like?
For all of you planners out there, we’ve got some details! How about a schedule and a map? Don’t worry…we will have these posted on site for you! https://somethingqueer.com/2026-travel-guide-schedule-and-map/
Check your Volunteer Shifts Before you Come!
Make sure to check your volunteer shifts (you can download the POINT volunteer app too). Feel free to make changes, if you want. You can access our volunteer portal here: https://pointapp.org/orgs/5896
Rideshares (we really want to get everyone up to the event!!!)
We have a number of folx who are looking for rides to the event. If you have any extra room (even just a seat), please bring a fellow attendee with you. Who knows…maybe you’ll meet your new bestie! We want to make sure that everyone has a way to the event, so please check out the board: https://www.somethingqueer.com/rideshare/
Don’t Forget to Bring…
- Your entry ticket (just the QR code. We don’t need your accommodation tickets, just the event entry ticket). Don’t have a QR code, make sure you sign the waiver…it’s on your ticket email (it says “Signature Required – Sign Here”)

- Cash for ice if you need it ($5 per bag)
- A yummy snack to share at the snack tables
